Hi Nina! I don't read blogs too often. Why? Because I'm "sucked out." Just don't have the time! But I just couldn't stop myself reading yours. Why? Because, except for the kids, it's my story. You have definitely been an inspiration to me in the past. And now, this just gives me an extra boost to get that story that has been hoovering in my saved files, begging to be released. Just need to change a few names to protect the not-so-innocent, who by definition are also "sucked out." Can't wait to read "Don't Make Me Make You Brownies" and "Not Dreaming of You." Judy

Is this MY Judy? I don't see you nearly enough! Thanks for taking the time out to read my blog and I hope you enjoy my stories!

Lol - I'm at the other end of extreme behavior. I did it all (or tried to) because everyone said I couldn't. And I still lost myself in the process. *sigh*

Indeed this is YOUR Judy!! I hope to be able to drive to Houston (Spring) to make a chapter meeting. I sure do miss them.

Nina, I really resonated with your blog. If honest, we must all admit to being sucked into the path others choose for us. Our only choice is to be content in that path or choose another. Although I haven't always been able to say I'm happy with my choices, thankfully, I am now content.

I would buy this book even if I didn't know you -- even without reading a single word of the Book Description -- even without looking at the cover. Why? Because it's one of the greatest titles I've ever seen. I bet it flies off the cyber shelves. In fact, I need to list it in my Amazon Guide SO YOU WANT TO DISCOVER NEW ROMANCE AUTHORS. Best wishes, Joan Reeves

Thanks so much Joan. As I mentioned in my blog previously, this story started out as "Acting Like Abbie," then changed to "Taming the Chupacabra," (briefly), then came "Don't Make Me Make You Brownies," just before I started sending it out to contests for critiques. I thought I might be onto something when contest judges loved the title, then when I started finaling, I was contacted by people I didn't even know personally who'd seen the title on the finalist lists and had to tell me they loved it. Down side: It's hard to format these long titles on a cover.

Okay, so you nailed me. But as they say "stuff" happens and I just jump in. We won't go into all the details of how I fit this category, it would take more than one blog and then some. But I try to carve out time- but then there are those pesky "powers that be" that throw in curves and pot holes. But I'm working on digging my way out and focusing on finding my self once again. Nina, It's a constant battle for me and the "suck". I kept my last name when I got married, and it's amazing to me how many people not only don't get it, but blatantly ignore my choice. (My husband is NOT one, it's my girlfriends and female family members.) And although my parents raised me to believe I could do anything I wanted to in life, I still find myself going out of my way to fix other's problems while trying to be the perfect wife, mother, and housekeeper (but I draw the line at windows. I don't do windows!). I fight myself daily to keep myself heading towards the next accomplishment that will be all mine. Thanks for blogging this and proving that we all fight the "suck"!
